Iced Yaupon Brewing Guide

Iced Yaupon Brewing Guide

Craving something crisp, cool, and naturally energizing? Iced yaupon is a refreshing way to enjoy the smooth flavor of this wild-harvested brew—perfect for front porch sips or an afternoon reset.

You’ll Need:
  • 5 tablespoons loose leaf, 10 tea bags, or 1 iced tea sack

  • A pitcher that holds about 2 quarts

  • A strainer (if using loose leaf)

  • Ice cubes

  • Hot + cold water

How To Brew:
  1. Add yaupon to your pitcher.

  2. Pour 1 liter of hot water over the leaves or tea bag.

  3. Let steep for 10 minutes.

  4. Remove the leaves or tea sack.

  5. Add 1 liter of cold water and/or plenty of ice.

  6. Sip and enjoy—cool, smooth, and endlessly refreshing.

Optional Yaupon Reuse

Yaupon is as resilient in your cup as it is on the ranch. Even after a long, slow cold steep, the leaves or tea bags often have more to give. Try rebrewing them—whether cold or hot—to discover new layers of flavor with each round.

Let your taste guide the way. Each steep tells a slightly different story—smooth, earthy, and uniquely yours.
